Another piece in my Chronic Pain Exhibition, this one dedicated to a friend named Emily. Here is a blurb from the plaque I made for Anxiety:
Using an older photograph of Emily, this work layers fragments of her
unspoken thoughts, soft pleas, quiet fears, and the ever-present worry of
being a burden. She didn’t want to be seen again, only understood.
Through minimal digital manipulation and gentle typography, her inner
voice takes shape, offering visibility without exposure. It is a portrait of
silence made visible.
